Samurai Saito Toshimasa nyundo Dosan
Samurai Saito Toshimasa nyundo Dosan by Utagawa Kuniyoshi (1797 - 1861), master of ukiyo-e style of Japanese woodblock prints. The samurai is wearing a large hat to facilitate spying on Oda Nobunga in a situation away from the battlefield - Saito was trying to determine for himself if Nobunaga would make an acceptable son-in-law. The richness of his cloak's decoration, as well as the tiger fur scabbard, confirm Saito's status as a powerful warlord.
